Friday Funnies #6, Peter 24-28 months

Funny things that Peter says.

"Oh my Goodness!"
"So Funny" (sounds like so Sunny)
"How bout ___________" When picking out shoes, clothes or toys. I guess I say that alot. Ha!!!

He has this fake laugh, it's hilarious. I'll try to get it on tape.

He knows how to use the words "I, Me, You" appropriately

Letters he knows
A, B, C O, P, R, T, Y

He can count to 6 all by himself.

He likes to spin in circles (instead of dancing)

We were talking about the "7 days of creation."
Me: "Peter what does God do on the 7th day?
Peter: "Goes Nigh Night."

He learned how to open doors. The secret is finally out.
The other day I put Bubba down for a nap. I heard the door open, and then pretty quickly shut. I told him the normal, "Go to Bed," thinking he was standing outside his room now, with the door shut behind him. I got up to check on him, and all I saw was this.............
I guess the ball was preventing him from napping, so he decided to get rid of it. Ha!!!

21 Months/Friday Funnies #5

Peter,

You are 21 months old now. It's silly to keep track of you from month to month, but I feel like if I don't I might forget certain stages of your growing up. So I think I'll probably keep doing this for a while now.

21 months old has been a huge transition for us with talking. You will try to say pretty much everything we say. And you repeat the last word of every sentence. Your first official sentence was "I got it." Just the other day you and I were having dinner with your Aunt Banana. And you looked over to us and said, "More Chicken." I looked at your Aunt Banana and said, I think he wants more chicken." Ha.
Here you are, sharing a ride with your Teddy Bear.
Snow days are so much fun. Lying around with your best bud Brady in our PJ's.
Not much snow, but still fun. You enjoyed looking at your footprints.

Friday Funny.

Peter - points to Jon's adam's apple and says "Elbow." Daddy - "I'd correct him, but I don't think he'd understand."

Me - thinking in my head, I bet he'd think "who is Adam, and why is his apple in my Daddy's neck." Ha.
Playing on Daddy's new Marimba. (Mimba - in your words)
This is a regular event at our house. Too cute!!! He may need a chair to stand on now, but it's still fun.

Here are some stats....
You have 18 teeth now. I think 19 + 20 are close behind. You wear 18 month clothes, although the pants are waaaayy to big in the waist. You need the length. You wear size 4 diapers still, and size 6 shoe. You are 33 1/2 inches tall, and 24lbs 12 oz.

You know the letter sounds of A-H. And you will still snuggle with Mommy every now and then. Yay. You tell us when your tired, and head to bed. You have been doing this since about 14 months old, I just never documented it.

You also like to give out Hugs and Kisses. I especially like them when you give them without warning or being asked.

Well that's it for now. Love you "Snuggle Bug."

Friday Funnies Episode #4

So I know it's important for your kids to eat their vegetables.........but I think this is a little bit......
EXCESSIVE. Ha
It has been raining for the last two weeks. Well I guess the zucchini didn't need any sun to grow, just lots and lots of water.

Friday Funnies espisode #3

Friday Funnies Episode #3.
Here are some funny pictures I have taken over the last month.

I found Peter sleeping like this, butt up in the air. Too cute.

Here are some funny faces.
#1 Avocado mask
#2 Open Wide "Ahhhhh"
#3 Cat got your tongue?

Funny things I have said to Peter.

1. "If you poop in the tub again you are getting out." (No I did not leave the poop in there from the first time, but come on Once is enough)

2. "Peter, We do not eat food off of the ground."

3. "Where are you going? Peter Where are you going?" (As if he's going to answer me. Ha. I don't know where he is going, but he seems to have a purpose."

I find it funny that we have entire conversations with our little ones as if they are going to answer you, with something other than, momma and dadda.

I ask Peter his opinion all the time. "Do you think Daddy will want chicken for dinner?"

"Are you ready for bed." His reply, if he could talk, "Didn't you see me rub my eyes?"

"Are you done eating." His reply. "No I'm dumping my food on the floor to save it for later. Easier access."

Well I hope you enjoyed the funnies.

Friday Funnies.

So on April 21st (date for my reference) I put Peter down for a nap. After about 20 minutes of chatting and laughing I poked my head in to see what he was up to. Does this look like a nap to you? He finally figured out how to pull up to his feet (he's been pulling up to his knees for a while now). He was soooo proud of himself.
So Peter is pulling up now. On everything. (notice the toys on top of the chair)
So someone from our church does a post every Friday called "Friday Funnies." Usually it involves funny things her children say and do. Since Peter is not really talking yet it will be funny things Peter "does" and not "says."

So here is the first entry for "Friday Funnies."

Peter has been crawling a lot, you can only imagine how many things he can get to.

#1 Lately he'll crawl to the back door. I think he is looking at the dogs, but when I turn the corner he is bending down, trying to chew on the doorstop. This is a frequent activity for him.

#2 He has also started putting his toys in certain locations. Here are a couple of pictures of what I mean.

I'm not sure where he picked up the toy thing, but it's pretty funny when you go to pick up his toys, and they are not just on the floor. But they are on the window ledge, entertainment center, chairs and the couch.

Hope you enjoyed. I'll try to post "Friday Funnies" again.

On the Crib Rail
On the Entertainment Center
On top of the toy boxes
On the chairs
He also places his sippy cup places.
#3 Another funny thing he is doing is bending down and kissing his books. He really LOVES his books. HA#4 He also lays down on the ground, and I'll say"Night Night." He smiles, gets up and crawls another couple feet, and does it again. He makes me laugh.Well I hope you enjoyed the first entry of "Friday Funnies." I'll try to do it again next friday.
